At Rice University, Basheer Ghorayeb graduated with a B.A. magna cum laude in Cognitive Sciences, an interdisciplinary program in psychology, linguistics, and philosophy. Mr. Ghorayeb received a J.D. with highest honors from the University of Texas School of Law, where he was a Townes-Rice Scholar, an Associate Editor of the Texas Law Review, and a recipient of the University Co-op Student Award for Academic Excellence. In recognition of having the highest grades in his law school class, Basheer was inducted into the law school’s Chancellors honor society as Grand Chancellor. He spent a year after law school clerking for Justice O’Neill at the Supreme Court of Texas.

Mr. Ghorayeb focuses on trial and appellate work. He has worked on a broad range of civil litigation matters, including business tort, commercial litigation, insurance bad faith claims, and products liability. Having worked at both a large firm and a litigation boutique, Mr. Ghorayeb has the experience of meeting the exacting demands of complex litigation without sacrificing a trial-oriented focus. 

Professional Honors:

Mr. Ghorayeb was recognized as one of the “Best Lawyers Under 40 in Dallas” by D Magazine in 2004, and as Texas Rising Star in 2005 and 2007. In 2007, he was elected to membership in the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation.
