John Gersch has extensive trial experience, litigating product liability, employment, commercial and criminal cases.  He has practiced in the government, at a large firm, in-house for product manufacturers, and now at a boutique trial firm.  Mr. Gersch’s broad range of experience allows him to quickly and easily grasp complex issues, and he is especially adept at mastering highly technical information and concepts. He can then present that complex, technical information as jury friendly, persuasive evidence and arguments to win trials.  

BACKGROUND
Mr. Gersch graduated 12th out of 945 Cadets from the United States Military Academy, West Point and received his commission as a Military Intelligence Officer. He served on a Joint Intelligence Staff aboard the USS LaSalle in the Persian Gulf and later received a Bronze Star for his service operating a Joint Interrogation Facility during Operation Desert Storm. The Army then selected Mr. Gersch to participate in the Funded Legal Education Program, and Mr. Gersch attended the University of Wisconsin Law School, graduating cum laude.

 Experience:

  • Extensive trial experience in criminal (prosecution and defense) and employment law at multiple posts in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps.
  • Commercial and product liability trial experience Bryan Cave LLP.
  • Comprehensive automotive product litigation experience as Counsel at Ford Motor Company and Senior Counsel at Nissan North America.
  • Currently representing several auto companies in product liability, warranty and employment cases.

 Education:

  • University of Wisconsin Law School; J.D., cum laude
  • United States Military Academy, West Point; B.S. in National Security and Public Affairs, Distinguished Cadet

  • Admitted to practice in Texas, Michigan, Missouri and Wisconsin and various U.S. District Courts
